During the height of chillwave, Brad Petering and Trung Ngo emerged from San Diego with a trilogy of self described "hypnotic pop" EPs TV Girl, Benny and the Jetts, and Lonely Women as well as The Wild, The Innocent, The TV Shuffle mixtape. As the chillwave movement began to fade, Petering relocated to Los Angeles, where he began work alone on TV Girls full length debut, French Exit. The result is a dazzling
