Langenheim Summary The Newfoundland Mountains 30 x 60 quadrangle encompasses broad expanses of the Great Salt Lake Desert as well as several picturesque mountain ranges, including the Newfoundland Mountains and the Pilot Range. The map area is located within the Basin and Range Province and exhibits fault bounded mountains separated by broad valleys. Neoproterozoic to Quaternary rocks of
