There is outstanding richness to the fullbodied and attractively textured flavors that possess good muscle yet the overall mouth feel is relatively refined and this sense of refinement continues onto the powerful and moderately austere but well-balanced finale

Bellevue Mondotte other_regions_italy This 2008 is a littleRuby red. Roasted plum, toffee, game and nutty oak on the nose. Lush, fat and stuffed with fruit. A wonderfully pliant 2002 with noteworthy density and richness. Sound acids and suave but firm edged tannins give this excellent balance. Finishes very long and ripe. This is even stronger than it appeared to be from barrel last spring. Stephen Tanzer
