Chinese Han Dynasty Cylindrical Brown Glazed Grain Store Artwork This incredible domestic shrine isThis cylindrical jar originated in China during the Han Dynasty (202 BC 9 AD). It was used as a grain store but also as a funerary object, to offer provisions for the afterlife. The glaze tells us that this pot originated in the earlier Han Dynasty as the brown colour was more common back then, compared to the green glaze that was used later. The wonderful brown glaze is achieved using copper and a lead glaze. This store is supported by 3 legs which
