Early 20th Century Japanese Boro Mosquito Netting (5) Decorative but this just adds toThis beautiful piece of fabric originated in Japan in the 1920s. It is a Kaya which is a mosquito net. It would have been used predominantly in the summer to keep mosquitos and small bugs away. It was hand woven from hemp fibres and has been green dyed.
