Malescot St Exupery other_regionsStill deeply colored, the wine instantly pops with smoke, blackberry, boysenberry, espresso bean, licorice and black cherry notes. Dense, full and plush, the mid palate and finish is packed with the layers of dense, opulently textured, juicy, black fruits and cherry liqueur. The wine was made from a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 37% Merlot, 6% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.

This is a sophisticated and classy Pessac-Léognan

there is a sense of a winery changing tack and in my opinion

and for all of the botrytization in effect

and then greeted again before I leave

anise and clove plus discreet mineral nuances that are set off by enough wood to warrant mentioning

Interestingly this is less overtly spicy as the Amoureuses at present though there is a genuinely gorgeous inner mouth perfume to the suave
