When I designed this Lab Coat for the sewers in my workshop, I envisioned the white coats worn by the "petits mains" in the ateliers of the French haute couture tradition. While we make our garments entirely by hand, we also experiment like scientists boiling our fabric like a stew to soften it, and dipping our finger into the indigo dye vat to taste its pH.
