"Boy and Horse", by Rene Sintenis, (German, 1888-1965) Silkscreen Nordfeldt's handwritingDrypoint, 1923, Ed. undetermined, 8 11 16 x 6 9 16, signed in pencil, on buff laid paper with full margins. Sintenis was primarily known as a sculptor, but her strong, reductive drypoints focus on our engagment with both animals and each other. Though rendered with just a few lines, the emotional strength and depth of her involvement with her subjects comes through.
