Description
Ryman Auditorium PhotographThis is the "Mother Church" of Country Music, here in Nashville. It used to be a church, built in the 1800's and in the 1900's became a world famous music venue, hosting the "Grand Ole Opry" (the biggest country music radio show in the country) for decades! I shot this in three parts, on a tripod, with vintage lenses from the 1970s, to give it a special glow, and then stitched the 3 images together at the end to make one ultra wide capture of 180
the beautiful San Francisco skyline on the far right
after sunset
I made a firm decision on that cold rainy November 2012
and it was the first time I got to take him on a shoot
No one does
the police came by twice
I was on the hunt
I had to make my best guess with the manual settings on the lens in total blackness
and everyone I met had been great to me
We then spent a half hour reading the carved inscriptions on the inside of the memorial
extended the tripod legs and ran up to a slit in the fence
trading hands back and forth from Italy to France
