BS EN 1990 sets out the principles and requirements for safety, serviceability, and durability of structures in construction engineering works. This includes the basis for their design and verification. The standard also gives guidelines for all the related aspects of structural reliability and safety. These guidelines are based on the limit state concept used in conjunction with a partial factor method. BS EN 1990
