Yak Down Fiber (sold by the ounce) pc_tapestry_weaving geometricsYak fiber is comparable to cashmere, angora, or camel. It is the downy undercoat that sheds off during the spring. The relatively short staple (1 inch), 17 micron fiber does not make this difficult to spin as it has great crimp and is not slippery. You will end up with a luxuriously soft and lofty yarn.
