Vintage Anchor Hocking Fire King Peach Lustre Swirl Platter Utensils The Wawel brand name wasAnchor Hocking was established as Hocking Glass Company in 1905 by Isaac J. Collins in Ohio. The company was named after the Hocking River near which it was located. The company proceeded to purchase at least 5 other American glass companies and in 1934 the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation came into being. In 1969 the word glass was removed from the company name. The company was sold to Global Home Products in 2001 and by 2006 the firm was sold to
